TYLER GILLERY, WARREN-MOTT, SENIOR: Helped lead the Marauders to the championship game of the MAC Red/White tournament. Averaged 18 points and eight rebounds.

DANNY LONGO, L’ANSE CREUSE NORTH, SENIOR: Here’s a young man with an IQ on two different levels.

The class valedictorian with a 4.0106 grade point average, he also had a high basketball IQ according to his coach.

“Danny led us in scoring the past two seasons and constantly made others round him better with his high basketball IQ,” said Jay Seletsky, the LCN coach.

He averaged 12.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game. He also shot 85 percent from the free throw line.

His top performances included 21 points, seven rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks against Dakota.

JEREMEY SCOTT, L’ANSE CREUSE NORTH, SENIOR: “Jeremey was the complete definition of a true point guard,” said Jay Seletsky, the LCN coach. “He was also one of the best leaders by example that has ever come through our program.”

He averaged 10 points, 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game. Among his top performances came against L’Anse Creuse with 15 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.

He is entertaining opportunities to play at NCAA Division III and NAIA schools


ARTHUR ASBERRY, COUSINO, JUNIOR: Don’t he make your brown eyes Blue?

Named first team All MAC Blue Division team. The 6-0 guard averaged 12 points, five rebounds and four assists per game.


CHARLES JOHNSON, WARREN-MOTT, SENIOR: He averaged 15 points and 2.8 assists per game. Scored 31 in victory over Roseville. Helped lead the Marauders into the championship game of the MAC Red/White tournament.
